João Félix Siqueira was born in Viseu, Portugal on 10 November 1999 to a Brazilian father and a Portuguese mother. Football is an important part of his family, as proven by his younger brother Hugo who is currently part of Benfica's youth program. And it was indeed with the Águias that he received his professional debut at 16-years-old: on 17 September 2016 João became Benfica's youngest ever debutant. He officially entered the first team in 2018/19, and he was a key player for them. In the league he racked up 15 goals in 26 appearances, and he helped Benfica to win their 37th title in the club’s history. The following summer he joined Atlético Madrid for 120 million euros where he spent three and a half years until January 2023. He gained a lot of experience in those years, helping the Colchoneros win the league in 2020/21, and he also scored his first Champions League goals. Two of his best performances came in the 2022 Champions League Round of 16 against Manchester United, where he ran the show. In January 2023, he went on loan to Chelsea, where he couldn't get into the team too often, scoring 4 Premier League goals in 20 appearances. The next year was better at Barcelona, where he found the way to goal more often (10 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions), and he was a key man in Xavi's team. The following summer, he then returned to Chelsea, this time permanently. They have a large squad, but he scored a lot, particularly in the Conference League. In February 2025, he began a new chapter, here with the Rossoneri.
