Born on 18 September 1998 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, from an early age Christian Pulisic was identified as one of the brightest talents in the US game. His early development began with Brackley Town in England and PA Classics in the United States. His first big break came in January 2025 when he joined Borussia Dortmund's youth set-up. He made his professional debut with BVB on 30 January 2016 against FC Ingolstadt and then scored his first goal on 17 April against Hamburger SV.

He developed well at Dortmund, winning his first silverware (the DFB-Pokal) in 2017 and making his Champions League debut. He would go on to score 19 goals and provide 26 assists in 127 appearances for BVB before signing with Chelsea. The deal was done in January 2019 though he wouldn't officially arrive in London until the following summer. It didn't take him long to leave his mark in the Premier League either; he scored his first goal away at Burnley in October and went on to convert it into a perfect hat-trick: header, left foot, right foot. His best season came in 2020/21 as Christian starred in the Blues' Champions League winning campaign: a goal and an assist across two legs in the semi-final against Real Madrid and an appearance in the final against Manchester City in Porto.

The following season, he went on to win the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup with Chelsea. Christian has also been a key member of the USMNT ever since his full international debut in March 2016. On 20 November 2018, in a friendly against Italy, he became the youngest-ever player to captain the USA. He has won two CONCACAF Nations League titles (2020 and 2023) and also featured at the 2022 World Cup, where he scored against Iran in the group stage. To date, in June 2023, he has scored 25 goals and provided 16 assists in 60 international appearances.
